Local Government Association Responses to Social Care Reform

The LGA has questioned the adequacy of the new levy if it is meant to fund all the plan’s adult social care commitments.

They are alarmed at the use of council tax as a vehicle and the social care precept as it is not related to need 

They express concern as not enough emphasis on prevention, tackling and investment in transformation of the care service unmet need
